Midhurst Short Walk 8th January 2020

Shake off that holiday excess by joining us on a gentle few miles around Midhurst. Isabel is leading the walk from The Royal Oak GU29 0EP  in Midhurst  and we will be doing a loop around the south of Midhurst before returning to The Royal Oak for lunch. Probably 4 to 5 miles.

Graffham Christmas Lunch walk 11th December 2019

Isabel is leading this walk on Wednesday which is flat and about three and a half miles, going through Duncton and Lavington Commons, some woodlands and open land, with good views if the weather improves! The first bit is muddy, so good boots and walking poles would be a great help. There are tree felling works planned on the road to Petworth and also on the Selham road that day and delays are expected, so it would be best to drive to the White Horse at Graffham (what3words:- heartburn.lakes.barmaid), where we are having lunch, and drive onto the car park from there. The instructions are as follows ------ Come out of the pub and turn right. At the T junction, turn left. Pass the Forresters Pub and then the village shop on your right. Carry straight on and at the crossroad turn right. The car park is on the left, but is a bit hidden so is easily missed. There is a public footpath opposite the entrance. The grid reference for the car park is 949:187. what3 words:- remodels.gobbling.shoebox. If all goes to plan we should be back at the White Horse at 12.30 for lunch at 1.00pm.

Petworth Park Day walk 4th December 2019

Marian, Linda, Maddie and June are leading a walk from the Silvia Beaufoy Centre in Petworth. The walk will be going into Petworth Park where coffee can be purchased and then out towards Upperton and on to Tillington. Lunch is booked in The Horse Guards. Weather permitting the walk in the afternoon will be back through Petworth Park.   Lunch places are in scarce supply in The Horse Guards and a deposit has already been paid.         Even if the weather is appalling the lunch will still go ahead, so it is essential that you let Marian know in good time if you would like a place at the table even if you do not intend to walk.

West Dean Morning Walk 27th November 2019

Paul's walk will start from the car park just beyond the Village Store/Shop car park in West Dean. Heading South, take the turning just beyond the Dean Inn and park by the stream at the end of the road. What3words:-purses.different.gravitate.  If anyone would like to meet up with Paul in the Midhurst car park, please let him know, otherwise he will go straight to West Dean. It would be appreciated if you could let Paul know if you will be walking/lunching. The walk is about 4 miles with no stiles and is flat. Lunch will be at The Royal Oak at about 1.15pm.

Chichester Day Walk 20th November 2019

Marian, Linda, Maddie and June are kindly doing this walk from Lavant Railway Station. Parking is found by following the blue signs in Lavant  to the Centurion Way Cycle Path and parking is probably in the entrance to Warbleheath Close SU8556 0895, what3words location is radio.movie.allows. The walk goes in to Chichester for lunch at The Crate and Apple pub followed by a walk around the city walls. We will then catch a bus back to Lavant.      Please let Marian know you are coming so there will be a place in the pub for you. Even if it rains and the walk is called off, we will still be going to the pub for 1.00pm.   Lastly, anyone just old enough to have a bus pass needs to bring it with them for the journey back to the cars.
