Viewing events by Tim
Peter, Trevor and friends HAD organised a Christmas Walk in Graffham, However, the forecast is very poor, rain and very cold weather so the walk has been CANCELLED. This is also the day when we draw the fabulous Christmas Raffle, organized by Marian which will go ahead. Please note you'll need to be at the pub by 12.30.
This should be a Day Walk but as a social event is happening later in the day, the walk will end at lunchtime. Lunch will be in the Duke of Cumberland, where we will be parking. As it is a short walk, Morning Walkers may wish to join us, but please inform the walk leader, Tim, if you will be staying for lunch in case we need to warn the pub beforehand. Lighter lunches will be available. The walk is 4.1/2 miles, does have a few inclines and is a repeat of a walk the Morning Walkers did back in May this year.
Peter has taken over this walk as Barbara and Mary are currently indisposed. Starting out next to the Milland Village Hall and heading south with coffee probably on Titty Hill before heading north for lunch in the Rising Sun in Milland. Please be aware the paths tend to be muddy along the route.
Denis is planning a walk from Liss to Hawkley, lunch in the Hawkley Inn . Start of the walk will be from the Newman Collard Playing Field, Hill Brow Road, Liss, Hampshire, GU33 7LE. The walk will be about 7 miles
The walk starts from The Star and Garter in East Dean (PO18 0JG) and climbs up onto North Down above the village with fine views to Levin Down and St Roche’s Hill, before circling north to enter Charlton Forest. 4.1/2 miles. There is a problem with eating at the Star and Garter, so we will be dropping down to the nearby Fox Goes Free instead. Please look out for an email as we need to pre-order!!!!
