Selworthy Holiday 7th June 2017

We started out from Lynton and took the Coast path to the Valley of the Rocks. We decided not to climb to the top - it looked far too busy.... The route took us  past Lee Abbey, now a Christian retreat, conference and holiday centre before climbing up to meet Lydiate Lane, the route back to Lynton. We happened to pass The Caravan Club campsite where some of us were tempted by some delicious ice-creams, which we very much deserved. Picnic lunch was taken overlooking Lynton and the Bristol Channel. Nice weather and an enjoyable walk - it was only 5.3 miles but with no shortage of hills - 1120ft gained.
