Itchenor Day Walk 23 November 2016

June, Linda, Marian and Maddie's walk was an excellent stroll from Chichester Marina to Itchenor and back. Some very nice houses along the way, but much too far from Budgens and Tesco - nowhere to stroll to to get the morning paper and many other excuses...  Lunch at The Ship in Itchenor and then a return to the shops and the coffee house at the Marina. Plenty of Brent Geese had arrived from Scandinavia or Siberia and one little egret was spotted. A splendid black swan was spotted as we finished our walk - very occasionally they will  breed with native mute swans or even geese. Walk was about 6.5 miles, altitude gain 224ft (?), Min altitude minus 4 feet!!! (says the Garmin!).
