We all met up early to make our lunch orders at The Three Horseshoes for Miguel and Celia's walk in Elsted and it was good to meet up with John and Sally once again. With ideal walking weather, sunny but a few clouds and a breeze, we set off towards Grevatts and then Newhouse Farm before eventually finding our ideal coffee spot in Didling, with some extraordinary transport on show. At the foot of the nearby Harting Hill we could see the 13th century Didling Church, known as The Shepherds' Church as it is situated on the ancient drovers track along the South Downs. Suitably refreshed we headed for Treyford and disturbed some newly released game-birds on the way. With the help of a recently restored bridge, we were able to reach The Three Horshoes in good time for an excellent lunch. The walk was a little under 4 miles.
