After almost trouble free parking at The Badger Inn, we jumped into shared cars to go to our parking start point on Duncton Down for Jennifer's walk. Leaving the car park we walked up and along Woolavington Down, eventually crossing the West Sussex Literary Trail/Southdowns Way to head into the woods of Teaglaze where we were fortunate to find a pleasantly wooded picnic spot. As we relaxed and took on refreshments, a shower tried to spoil our walk, but we were able to ignore it. The forecast had been fairly damp but we suffered very little all morning. A stroll up towards Waltham Down brought us to our turning point where we headed back towards the car park. This involved walking through Crown Teaglaze and finding the West Sussex Literary Trail once again. This spot is one of the highest points on the Southdowns Way. This time we followed the West Sussex Literary Trial, only departing from it to reach our parked cars. A quick trip down the road and we then had an excellent lunch in the Badger.
